Last weekend we had the pleasure of displaying the final works of the “Portrait of the Family” competition. Over one hundred great portraits hung on large panels in the Sapphire Room in POSK.
Each work was extraordinary and unique and we have to admit that choosing these winners was a great task. During the award ceremony, many wonderful guests visited us. Krystyna Olliffe, the president of the Polish Educational Society, welcomed everyone who came to the exhibition, and Barbara Kaczmarowska-Hamilton, the founder of “Portrait Foundation”, along with Mr. Piotr Michalik, founder of backpacks, helped to hand out prizes to children. Mick and Brenda Davies, one of our jurors and representatives of The Royal Society of British Artists were also present during the exhibition and praised the talents of our Polish children.
This is the second edition of our art competition and we hope to continue this venture. The real motivation for us is the huge amount of submitted works – we are happy that children are eager to paint and take part in this event second year in a row. We would like to thank all participants of the competition and all those who were involved in its organisation.
See you in all next year!
