The Polish Educational Society

Our Mission is to advance the education of children and young people in the United Kingdom in the Polish language, history, culture, traditions and Christian values. The Polish Educational Society is a charitable organisation supporting Polish education in the United Kingdom and an association for Polish supplementary schools and individuals involved in the teaching of Polish language and popularising the knowledge of the Polish culture in the UK.

Wierszowisko

What’s Wierszowisko all about?

The “Wierszowisko” Festival of Polish Poetry in Great Britain was adopted in 2012 from Holland where the idea of the contest was invented and introduced among the community of Polish supplementary schools.

Grants

Together for Polish Education – Support for Umbrella Organisations

We are pleased to inform you that our organisation has received funding from the state budget through the Association “Polish Community” (Stowarzyszenie „Wspólnota Polska”), on the basis of a funding agreement dated 20 March 2026. The funding has been granted as part of the public task entitled: “Support for the statutory activities of an umbrella organisation in the United Kingdom in 2026”.

The project has been co-financed by the Institute for the Development of the Polish Language from state budget funds under the programme “Together for Polish Education – Support for Umbrella Organisations”.

Amount of funding for 2026: PLN 265,500.00
Total value of the public task: PLN 292,050.00

The public task involves supporting Polish supplementary schools by covering essential operational costs, including room rental, salaries, insurance, and other organisational expenses.
